KANAZAWA HIROKAZU SOKE
1931-2019

"SUPREME INSTRUCTOR"

One of the world renown and respected traditional karate masters alive 10th Dan. Gichin Funakoshi who brought out from Okinawa Island to mainland Japan and opened Shotokan Dojo in Tokyo.

In 1978, Kanazawa Soke set up SKIF (Shotokan Karatedo International Federation). SKIF is now the worlds largest Shotokan Karate Association under one chief instructor, having substantial members in over 130 countries.

KANCHO NOBUAKI KANAZAWA

8th DAN

Kancho Nobuaki Kanazawa was born in May 1972 and is the eldest of three sons of Soke Hirokazu Kanazawa - 10th Dan Supreme Instructor and Founder of Shotokan Karate-Do International Federation. Kancho Nobuaki Kanazawa is the current head (Kancho) of Shotokan Karate-Do International Federation Worldwide and travels the world doing seminars and gradings. Kancho was educated at Taisho University and joined Karate-Do in his teenage years, Kancho quickly found his natural talent in Karate-Do and won many notable championships over the years.

SHUSEKI MANABU MURUKAMI

8TH DAN

Born on 1st October 1966 in Kyushu, an island off the south of Japan, He started practicing Karate at the age of 9 years with JKA instructor Sensei Maruo. When Soke Hirokazu Kanazawa formed SKIF he immediately joined his organisation in the 70's. At 18 Sensei Murakami studied at Takusoku university in Tokyo where previously Soke Kanazawa had studied. When graduating he took the two year SKIF Instructors course at the central SKIF Dojo and has remained there to this day.

HANSHI HIROSHI ISHIKAWA

8TH DAN

Hiroshi Ishikawa Toda was born in Miyazaki, Japan in 1947. He was a direct student of the grand master Kancho Hirokazu Kanazawa leader of the SKIF (Shotokan Karate-Do International Federation) and Master Masatoshi Nakayama Chief Instructor of the famous JKA (Japan Karate-do Association).

KYOSHI ALEJANDRO CASTRO

Technical Director of SKIF Kodokai of Venezuela.

International Adviser for SKIF Latin-American.

7TH DAN

Attended Seta High School
3rd World Championship in 1994
2nd Place SKI World Championship in 1997 and in 2003
SKI Japan Champion 9 times

SENSEI FUMITOSHI KANAZAWA

6TH DAN

Sensei Fumitoshi Kanazawa (born 1975) is the youngest son of Soke (Grand Master) Hirokazu Kanazawa 10th Dan. Sensei Kanazawa’s highlighted accomplishments include winner of the 2006 SKIF World Championship (Tokyo / Japan) and has been SKI-Japan Champion 7 times since 2003.
